Meet Kayla
Hello, my name is Kayla Morland and I am the sole owner/operator of the Flower Child Soap Co. Flower Child started back in May of 2017 while I was working full-time as a receptionist at an auto body shop. Working as a receptionist while being a very visual and creative person was a huge struggle for me. I remember the day that I decided that I needed a new hobby. Spinning around in my office chair and counting down the hours until I got to go home, how I came up with soap making, I still have no idea. I made one batch of soap and it quickly became an obsession. I finally had something in my life that I could be creative with, but most importantly, my skin felt AMAZING. Research and learning on my work computer all day, and soaping all night. Soap soon snowballed into bath bombs. Friends and family were eager and excited to try my products. Before I knew it, I had local shops contacting me to carry my products! Oh my it happened all so fast!
.......
My number one concern when I started making soap was how it was going to feel on my dry skin. I was an avid body wash user. Sometimes I wouldn't use body wash at all, depending on how my skin felt that day. Bar soap has a "squeaky clean" feeling in the shower and to be honest, I wasn't a fan at first. It wasn't until I dried off from my shower did I feel an amazing difference in my skin. After a few more uses, I didn't feel the the need to use handfuls of lotion anymore. I was totally amazed. I had to share this with everybody! Bath bombs came shortly after and I spent almost a year perfecting my recipe. Again, dry and sensitive skin was my focus. Avocado oil, milk powder and kaolin clay feels beautiful on the skin. Much like soap, once you get out of the tub and dry off, you'll feel the difference in your skin. I could go on and on about our other products and why I love making bath products, but I dont want this About Us page to get out of hand! So please shop around the site, send me an email if you have questions and enjoy treating yourself. #SelfLove
